Hi, I have a few questions about the hair... 1. How did you manually paint in and smudge in the shades? 2. How did you make rings across the hair with the bezier curves?
*gotta remember back how I did it 6 years ago* Umm.... Oh in this instance I just picked a brown colour, painted it in with paintbrush then used the smudge tool to smoothen it. Picked a lighter brown, repeat.. etc. for all the different shades of brown.
With the bezier curve I just drew a curve across the hair and did Edit->Stroke Path, with white as the selected colour and with a line thickness of something like 20. That was done on a layer set to "Overlay" I believe.
I learned a lot of new things about gimp. Thank you

How did you add so much white into the hair?
